Love is not finding someone to live with, it’s finding someone you can’t live without. ~Rafael Ortiz

My grandmother had been sick in a nursing home for the past couple of years (since January my freshman year). She had something called Lewy Body Disease (I think that’s spelled right). We got a call on yesterday saying that they had put her in the hospital. She had gall bladder problems her entire life, and she was able to keep them in check by being careful of what she ate. But once she couldn’t take care of herself anymore, she had no control over the food she ate. We think that’s why she had these gall bladder stones and an infected gall bladder.

She passed away about two hours ago. My aunt called, and they thought she would make it until tomorrow when she had an operation (without it, she would have died, and since she was 88 years old, she might not have survived the surgery either), but this was her time to go. When they took her off of the breathing machine, they thought she’d be OK for a little while, but she died instantly. She was a very strong Christian. I’m certain she’s in a much better place now

Please pray from my family, especially my parents (my dad was the baby of his family, so he and his mother had a special relationship, and Grandmama pretty much took my mom under her wing and treated her like a third daughter). Thank you so much y’all for your prayers. There hasn’t been any talk about when the funeral will be, but I will be going to Georgia to go to it. We be leaving sometime tomorrow, and I won’t be around for several days (I may be around some tonight, but once we leave it’ll be a few days). Thank you for understanding!
