Well, today it’s my first day off, and I’m am soooo excited to be sitting in Starbucks here in Princeton. I can use my own computer!!!! It’s like reuniting with a long lost friend - didn’t realize that my computer addiction was that bad, LOL!

Today is a big day for me. Exactly one year ago today, the [insert colorful word here] broke up with me. I’ve been single for a whole year now. I think that I’ve really grown a lot this past year. I guess it takes getting treated like crap to realize that you were better than that to begin with. I’d like to think I don’t let people walk all over me anymore. Sigh. A bittersweet day, because even though I’m so glad that the first year is out of the way, it just makes me sad that I STILL have not even had a conversation with him (granted, that was his juvenile choice, but I still feel like it was immature of me to go along with it).

Here’s to hoping that life’s simpler on the flipside. More updates to come (and I promise, they’ll actually talk about how my life at camp is going - just don’t feel like talking about fun and games when I’m in a strange mood . . .)

Well, I finally found a computer that I can type on for a bit! Things are going very well up here - our campers will be arriving in half an hour, so I don’t have much time to write - my first day off is on Tuesday, so I promise I’ll be more forth-coming then.

The drive was . . . long. And my car started having problems (which will hopefully be attended to in the next couple of days). But we got here safely, and things are going well.

I miss you all - I’ll try and reply to emails on my day off as well. I’ll be on my laptop then, and life will be much happier :-)! Send me emails and love - I hope everyone’s doing well!

American entertainers have started feeling the effect of the U.S. dollar’s precipitous devaluation on world markets. In many European venues, for example, platinum-selling rap artist 50 Cent has been forced to perform under the name of 37 Cent, depending on the daily rate. Just last weekend, after another exchange hit in England, the rapper had no choice but to begin his tour of the British Isles as 10 Shillings, Threepence, a name that may undermine his urban street thug persona. Fortunately, because of China’s commitment to artificially prop up American rap imports, 50 Cent is still selling strong in Asia as 74 Yen.

Well, the time has come! I have a job in Princeton, NJ at American Boy Choir for the summer, and we’re leaving early tomorrow morning! I start on Thursday at 5pm, so we’re driving up from Florida, starting tomorrow. Sigh . . . REALLY long drive, LOL! I’ll be there for six weeks. My job ends on August 7, and then I’ll be back home in Florida for one more week before I go back up to school in North Carolina for the fall semester.

From what I understand, I will not have regular Internet access. I think that I will be able to check my email on another computer, but that’s about it. I’m still taking my laptop up in hopes that there is wireless or that I can find a Starbucks on my days off. I’ll try to be on when I can, and I’ll probably be here on my blog more than on my groups or anything - it’s easy to update on here from other computers, so I probably will actually post about what all’s going on. Please feel free to email me and I’ll get to you as soon as I can!
