Sorry it’s taken so long for me to get back on here . . . once the show got going, things got crazy, and then I fell off the face of the planet, haha! The show went amazingly well, everyone LOVED it!!! My parents got to see both performances, and they loved it too. It was such a great experience!!!! I finally have all the pictures up on Webshots, so take a look if you get a chance!

I was also really excited to see Daddy when they all came for the show . . . Mama has been telling me that he was fine, but of course I couldn’t quite believe that until I saw him myself. And he did seem quite fine. He was acting like his normal self, so that made me feel a lot more at ease. Thanks for all of your prayers!!!

I will be writing more frequently now that I am almost done with the show (I still have to finish up all the paper work and turn it in). I also think that I’m gonna switch to doing my movie and book reviews in posts, and let the sidebar just be a spotlight area (because I’m watching and reading more things than I’ve been posting, but I haven’t been putting them up because then they would rotate too frequently). I hope everyone is doing well!

Well, in less than 24 hours my show will have opened. I can’t wait! The cast did such a fabulous job at our final dress rehearsal - they have made me so proud! Here’s a pic:

I’ll write more after the show! Click here for more info!

Want to see my new toy ;-)?

I’m a part of the nation’s first Pocket PC pilot program with college students. I’ve been using a Palm m505 for almost 5 years, and of course I always have a current cell phone. It seemed the next logical step for me to get a mobile device that was both PDA and cell phone. Oh, and it’s Wi-Fi capable, and it has Bluetooth. It’s ridiculously nifty. It’s my Siemens SX66. The pilot program is referring to our mobile unit as our “mobi,” so of course I named mine Toby (remember, I’m the girl who named her TiVo Stevo). Here’s a generic pic of the Siemens SX66:

Pretty sweet, eh? If you want to know more about the pilot program, check this link out.

Thank you so much for all of your concerns. So many people have emailed me and let me know that they are praying for my father, and I can’t tell you how much that means to me.

Once he FINALLY got to see the doctor (he waited about 5 hours at the ER), Daddy had a CAT scan Thursday night, then he spent the night at the hospital. The next morning he had an MRI, and based off of the results of all the tests they had been doing on him they decided that they didn’t need to do the scope. He was discharged around 5pm on Friday.

He’s been really tired and he’s slowly gotten back to normal. There was no permanent damage, thank goodness. However, the doctor told him that if it happened again to come back on an ambulance so that he can be admitted immediately. Supposedly there is a pill that if taken within the first 4 hours of the stroke it will reverse all negative effects of the stroke and prevent permanent damage. My dad waited for 5 hours, so he could have had permanent damage. I can’t help but wonder if prayer is what kept him from having permanent damage.

He seems to have gained his strength back now, and his voice sounds like normal again. Today is actually his birthday :-).

Thank you so much for your love and concern. It means so much to me, and I can’t tell you how reassuring you have all been. It’s hard to be completely away from home and hear about something like this. I think I worried more than the rest of my family because I couldn’t see Daddy, I couldn’t tell just how bad (or good) he was. But having wonderful friends like you all really helped to keep me calm and not freaking out. Thank you!!!
