If you are not working on your ideas each day, you're working on someone else's. ~Marjorie Blanchard

Thank you so much for all of your concerns. So many people have emailed me and let me know that they are praying for my father, and I can’t tell you how much that means to me.

Once he FINALLY got to see the doctor (he waited about 5 hours at the ER), Daddy had a CAT scan Thursday night, then he spent the night at the hospital. The next morning he had an MRI, and based off of the results of all the tests they had been doing on him they decided that they didn’t need to do the scope. He was discharged around 5pm on Friday.

He’s been really tired and he’s slowly gotten back to normal. There was no permanent damage, thank goodness. However, the doctor told him that if it happened again to come back on an ambulance so that he can be admitted immediately. Supposedly there is a pill that if taken within the first 4 hours of the stroke it will reverse all negative effects of the stroke and prevent permanent damage. My dad waited for 5 hours, so he could have had permanent damage. I can’t help but wonder if prayer is what kept him from having permanent damage.

He seems to have gained his strength back now, and his voice sounds like normal again. Today is actually his birthday :-).

Thank you so much for your love and concern. It means so much to me, and I can’t tell you how reassuring you have all been. It’s hard to be completely away from home and hear about something like this. I think I worried more than the rest of my family because I couldn’t see Daddy, I couldn’t tell just how bad (or good) he was. But having wonderful friends like you all really helped to keep me calm and not freaking out. Thank you!!!
