OK, so I got the cable I needed (a USB 2.0 IDE Adapter, for those who were wondering), backed up my hardrive through my dad’s computer, got out the XP CD so that I could completely start over on my computer, reinserted the hardrive, rebooted with the XP CD in the drive . . . and the computer started up AS IF NOTHING WERE EVER WRONG! I have no idea what happened, I really hope it doesn’t happen again cause it scared the crap out of me and I wasted about 15 DVD-Rs, but my computer is up and running! WOO HOO!
OK, time to answer emails and hopefully return back to normal.
