This week’s theme for the Blogging Chicks Carnival is “What I love about blogging!” It’s open to ALL women, not just members of Blogging Chicks, so join on in!

I think my absolute favorite thing about blogging is learning about all the different technological things that people are interested in. I’m a subscriber to the RSS feeds of LOTS of technology blogs. I love the fact that I can hear all about the latest tricks with my computer, the newest Treo rumor, and all the shortcuts that can happen with adopting small technological advances.

However, my favorite thing about my personal blog and the blogging that I PERSONALLY do is the relationships that I have found. There are so many interesting people out there who are all blogging, and I have learned so much from them! Lots of these people can be found on my blogroll to the side, but don’t let that fool you - I have about 100 feeds that I receive in my feedreader, and I read them ALL. I know people often link to sites they don’t read, but I am not one of those people. I love keeping track of what people are doing. There are so many times when I’m down and someone will comment on my blog and it will completely change my mood 100%

Thank you so much to all those people out there who keep blogging, despite what is going on in their lives. There is so much that we can learn from each other, and blogging has changed my life. (Man, that sounded way cheesier than I had intended it . . . you get my drift).

So come on! What do you love about blogging?

Thanks girl. Yeah it just really sucks sometimes because age is all they see. Oh well. Maybe I should get over it and enjoy the rest of my teen years. =)

So true, Lindsay, about the friendships. I listed that too, and I’ve seen it other places. Obviously a lot of us bloggers enjoy the connection we gain with others.

Can’t say I get the technology thing, though. I’m a total techno-weenie! But I’m learning, slowly.

The technology part of blogs just kills me! I wish I knew how to do so many things. I wonder if there’s a book - Blogging for dummies? I want to know how to make those boxes that bloggers use to put someone else’s remarks or quotes in? What is RSS? And can my computer handle it???? Yikes… so much technology for my brain. And yet you’re laying on the beach, what a smartie! You go girl!

I feel dumb when you start discussing RSS feeds etc.

Do you make housecalls to teach technonothings?

You are right. There are many interesting blogs out there. I do read once in a while a tech blog, but mostly women blogs. I like to read about their perspecitve in life.:)

You are so right! I feel the same way about blogging! I know a little of the tech behind it, not so much in techy terms which drives my partner a lot when I’m asking him for hlep!

Like the cheese factor - I tend to do that too. I am trying to learn a lot of the tech stuff so one day I may call on you for assistance.

    Here via the carnival!!

I couldn’t agree more! My family has grown by leaps since I started blogging. I have friends who cheer me up, make my laugh, remind me to pray and are there when I need to vent. They don’t care if I am in my pj’s or fully dressed. This is so addictive but so fulfilling.

    Happy Sunday!

I love knowing that I will have to go no further than the BC website to find some new friends each Sunday.

Dang, I don’t wanna repeat what everyone has already said, but ditto, ditto, ditto.

It has slowly dawned on me that it’s “okay” to love blogging! It’s a hobby & creative outlet for me. I love finding blog kindreds and receiving comments (especially those from peeps who read the entire post, lol, not just try to generate traffic back to their site….guess we all do that from time to time, though).

I’m technically deficient, but I wanna pursue learning more about that side of blogging…any suggestions where to begin? (You said “ask away” in your profile page, so I’m a askin’ :) ).

  14. Karen Says:

HA! Who told Robin it wasn’t okay to love blogging?? :) I guess if it takes too much of your time, but that really depends on the person! I love the meeting of new people too..there isnt’ anything like it.

[...] A bit of an intro here, LOL! So many people responded to my Firefox Extentions post and my Why I Love Blogging post about technical ineptitude that I decided to make up this post about helpful blogging tech-y things. Please note that this only barely scratches the surface (mostly because I am very novice at all this)! If you want clarification on these things, ask! If I don’t have a clue about what you are curious about, I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction ! 1. Get the right blogging platform. Robin over at PENSIEVE writes “I’m technically deficient, but I wanna pursue learning more about that side of blogging…any suggestions where to begin? (You said “ask away” in your profile page, so I’m a askin’ ).” The beginning seems like a good place to start, LOL! And in my opinion, the first technical thing you need to get straight is your blogging platform. [...]
