Like you said, you have been faced with the mortality of both your parents. You see this from the patient side. And no I don’t think you are weird for that. I think my classmates are weird. They are all pathologically incredibly healthy. Most doctors are. It is a strange culture that brainwashes us in a way to think we are above illness. I think this happens because we are trying to cope with the suffering we see day in and day out. I am the odd one out. I am not healthy by their standards I in the patient who they are giving a white coat. Its a fun game. I feel like a double agent.
