Love feels no burden, regards not labors, strives toward more than it attains, argues not of impossibility, since it believes that it may and can do all things. Therefore it avails for all things, and fulfils and accomplishes much where one not a lover falls and lies helpless. ~Thomas à Kempis

Or at least, I think that’s what I had. I lost my voice in the middle of my shift at work on Thanksgiving Day!!! It’s still not 100% back, but you can understand and hear everything I say now. There were about 5 days where I was almost unable to speak at all. AJ insisted on calling me “Squeaky” - it was not funny (for me).

Now it’s developing into a full-blown cold or something . . . lots of coughing, a little drippy, and this morning my head hurt so bad that I was dizzy and had to lay back down! No fun at all.

At least it’s happening now and not at Christmas!

I hope that everyone has had a fantastic Turkey Day! As I mentioned, my parents drove up here last night to join my brother (who goes to a nearby school), AJ, and myself for Thanksgiving supper in my apartment. I had to work until almost 5, so my mom did all the cooking, which was so amazing! We had a delicious meal, even though it was in my tiny apartment. It was great to get to share the holiday together even though I had to work. Tomorrow the plans include going to look at possibly getting a Christmas tree for me! WOO HOO!

Also, I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’ve done a little Christmas decorating around the blog! You can thank Lisa for the AWESOME design that she’s made for me! I can’t express how excited I am about this design. It makes me want to drink hot chocolate by the fire while listening to Nat King Cole!

How was everyone else’s Thanksgiving?

Alright, time to update on my latest organizing project!

I didn’t want to post my progress last week because I didn’t feel like I had my head wrapped around things enough to document how I’m doing. Now I’m feeling a bit more focused, so I feel like I can share some thoughts with the world . . .

At the moment I’m about 1/2 way done, maybe a little more. A LOT of the sorting work is done, and I have a nice hefty Goodwill pile growing in the living room (which I will transfer to my car tomorrow). I also have tossed a LOT of trash (empty boxes and soooo much paper clutter). Soon it will be time to start figuring out how it will all fit back in an organized and uncluttered manner!

I’ve moved my deadline from the end of the month to . . . Wednesday, LOL! At the moment I would really like to get things finished before my parents and brother come to share Thanksgiving with me, but I do have a backup plan. If I can’t get it all finished, I will at least have the room finished and the outside storage finished. The closet will be completely sorted, and my contingency plan is to put it all back into the closet and then pull it back out and reorganize it once they leave. Since all the sorting is done, this won’t be sooo awful, but I am really going to try and avoid this. If I DO have to do this, then I will use the post-Thankgiving time to finish things up.

I am so thrilled to be getting this done. I thought that I had purged a lot when I moved, but I am discovering that there is so much more that can go! Off to take care of some more work!
