I love spending time in libraries. I could get lost for hours in the library at Wake Forest, just looking and smelling that amazing old book smell. And the library isn’t even a pretty library. I can’t imagine getting to go to an old historic library with gorgeous architecture.
You can find an AMAZING collection of photographs of beautiful libraries from around the world at Curious Expeditions. It makes me want to travel just to look at all these pictures!

Have you ever seen pictures of the Long Room at Trinity College? It houses the oldest collection in Ireland, along with various artifacts, including the harp reported to be Brian Boru’s and several original flyers from the 1916 movement. But, it’s beautiful, one really long room with floor to high vaulted ceiling bookshelves, set perpendicular to the walls to make room for the most possible amount of shelves. It’s what I always imagined the library at Hogwarts to look like.
