Look Ma, I’m on TV!

Well, not really TV – it’s an internet interview! David Lee from wetoku invited me to do an interview using their new webcam interview software about the upcoming Blogathon. So, here is my FIRST webcam appearance!

Note to self:

  • Move the webcam to eye level.
  • Stop the blinking and strange head tilting already!

David informed me that since I use a wireless connection at home, any time the connection jumps off, the video will pause. Hence the random pausing throughout the interview on my end. So, gotta somehow figure that one out because I really enjoyed the interview, and would love to play around with the wetoku software some more in the future.

Thanks so much for the interview David – it was a lot of fun!

WordCamp Chicago 2009!

One of the perks of working for the lovely Lisa Sabin-Wilson has been getting to know a lot more about the WordPress community and online work in general.  So I was super excited that she invited me to the first WordCamp Chicago – and it’s happening this weekend!  It’s been really awesome getting to hear from some of the big players in the WordPress arena (yes, I’m sitting in a room of 200 bloggers . . . my geekdom has reached a new level).  I wish we could stay here in Chicago a bit longer though – I haven’t really gotten to see anything about the city since I’ve been at the conference the whole time, so I’ll just have to come back!

Moving starts on Tuesday.  I’m not done packing.  I’m exhausted just thinking about it.

Also, just for a little bit of self-gratification . . . today is my 25th birthday :-)

A temporary new look!

My beautiful Venice theme that I have used for the past 3 years has finally gotten to the point where it doesn’t like to talk to the newest version of WordPress anymore, so I am temporarily switching to this new theme until the lovely and talented Lisa Sabin-Wilson is able to finish my new theme (currently a work in progress).  At the moment I can’t find where to adjust the way the pages are displaying at the top, so please excuse the 8,000 different pages – as soon as I find that code, it will look much nicer!
