Works For Me Wednesday!

A simple little tip that I have found makes my life SOOOOO much easier! If you have a laptop computer and are anything like me, you take your laptop EVERYWHERE . . . to your bedroom, to your living room, on vacation, to a friend’s house - it’s all fair game. However, you probably have a desk (or desk area) that is the “home” of the laptop, where all your stuff plugs into it. And the most important thing that plugs in is the power cord.

However, it’s reeeeeeeeeally annoying to have to crawl under your desk in the unflattering and uncomfortable effort to unplug that power cord so that you can take it with you. But you have to have the power cord when you’re on the go!

Here’s my solution, and it’s so simple it sounds stupid. Buy a second power cord. They’re usually not that expensive, and the time and effort it saves you is immeasurable! Have one that is permanently located at the laptop’s “home” and one that you leave bundled up in your computer bag. Any time you go somewhere, take the one that is bundled up. When you come back home, your other cord is still plugged in and you’re ready to go.

Saving some time and still being addicted to my laptop (LOL)? Works for me!

This week’s theme for the Blogging Chicks Carnival is “What I love about blogging!” It’s open to ALL women, not just members of Blogging Chicks, so join on in!

I think my absolute favorite thing about blogging is learning about all the different technological things that people are interested in. I’m a subscriber to the RSS feeds of LOTS of technology blogs. I love the fact that I can hear all about the latest tricks with my computer, the newest Treo rumor, and all the shortcuts that can happen with adopting small technological advances.

However, my favorite thing about my personal blog and the blogging that I PERSONALLY do is the relationships that I have found. There are so many interesting people out there who are all blogging, and I have learned so much from them! Lots of these people can be found on my blogroll to the side, but don’t let that fool you - I have about 100 feeds that I receive in my feedreader, and I read them ALL. I know people often link to sites they don’t read, but I am not one of those people. I love keeping track of what people are doing. There are so many times when I’m down and someone will comment on my blog and it will completely change my mood 100%

Thank you so much to all those people out there who keep blogging, despite what is going on in their lives. There is so much that we can learn from each other, and blogging has changed my life. (Man, that sounded way cheesier than I had intended it . . . you get my drift).

So come on! What do you love about blogging?
