When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes. ~Erasmus

It has taken me FOREVER to get around to writing this post, but finally I am. Back at the beginning of December, I got my Treo ;-)! Here she is:

My Treo!

Isn’t she purdy? She’s a Treo 680 in Artic White, unlocked of course. You can’t get the colors with Cingular, and I would have had to renew my contract for another 2 years. While I don’t imagine I’ll be switching to a new company, I will be getting a new number when I move (eventually), so I didn’t want to be locked into 2 more years with this area code. Here’s a side view:

My Treo!

Oh, and baby’s got back ;-):

My Treo!

For the most part I am loving her (and yes, her name is Cleo - my first female technical thing, usually they’re all boys). There are a few things that I don’t like . . . the phone isn’t extremely reliable. However, I imagine as software is updated over the next few months those issues will be resolved.

I used the website Treonauts to help me make my decisions about what Treo to get and what software to get for it. It is a FANTASTIC resource!

So, 2 months late, let’s mark off #64 on my 101 in 1001!

My phone (Siemens SX66) has been driving me up the wall. And I have a crush . . . an obsession . . .

I want a Treo.

My cell phone plan is up this summer, so I really want to get a Treo with my new plan. The problem is, there is the 650, and then there’s the 700w. I DO NOT want my new Smartphone to run on the Windows OS. That has been one of the things I have hated about my PocketPC. I miss the Palm OS. So, you say, get the 650. Well, if they’ve come out with a 700w, it’s only a matter of time until they come out with the 700 that runs on Palm, right? And why should I get the 650 if it seems like a new one will be out soon?

Right?

Well, I’ve been waiting for 3 or 4 months to hear about the 700, and I have yet to hear about it. Until today that is :)!!!!!!

CHECK IT OUT - IT’S COMING!!!!!
