Healthy Living and Weight Loss Tips

I found this really interesting article over at 60 in 3. It’s a 10-part series called “10 steps to getting healthy and losing weight,” and I have found some of the information to be REALLY helpful. Some of it is stuff you’ve heard before, but the format that Gal sets it up in is very user friendly and makes you reevaluate some of the things you’ve already heard before. Stop by and take a look – maybe you’ll learn something new!

Thursday Thirteen #20

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things about Lindsey!

1. I switched everything over to Microsoft Money 2006! Now my messy check register can stay confined to my drawer – woo hoo! Scratch off #30 on my 101 in 1001!

2. Here’s an interesting tidbit about the animal situation down in New Orleans!

3. I’m back at school, and I’m still homesick. Someone make it better . . .

4. I’m now a contributing member of the group weight loss support blog Pounds2Go! I’m really excited about this – go take a look!

5. I’m currently working on the show that I’m stage managing this semester, Awakening. It’s a theatre performance with grand illusion – a play and a magic show at the same time! It’s being put on by Magic Mouth Productions, and I’m excited that we’re finally getting everything together!

6. Because I am doing this show, I have to miss rush for my sorority . . . which makes me sad :( . I wanted to talk to all the cool freshmen I’ve met this year! Plus, I won’t get to see my sorority sisters until rush is over probably.

7. I finally finished putting together my books and movies lists for my 101 in 1001 . . . part of the lists were here at my school apartment, so I couldn’t finish them when I was at home!

8. I’m still not unpacked, it’s kinnda messy over here. I’ve been too sad to unpack.

9. I also haven’t heard from the dean yet. The meeting was supposed to be yesterday to decide if I can keep being a student, and I haven’t heard yet. I hope no news is good news.

10. Reading Red Letters will be ready very soon . . . keep looking for an announcement ;) !

11. For some reason this week I’m having a hard time coming up with 13 things . . . hmm . . .

12. I got a new desk chair! Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as well as the demo in the store. Gonna have to play with it today to see if I can get it working right.

13. Now I’m gonna take a quick shower with my new iPod shower thingy! It pretty much rocks ;) !

One year later . . .

One year ago today my grandmother died. Here is my post that I made.

Things went well today. My dad’s sister left today, but before she did she and Daddy talked about how their mother is now gone, and I think that he’s been doing quite well. We all loved her very much, and Christmas this past year was a little difficult.

In other, more happy, news, Leanne launched her new weight loss group blog called Pounds2Go, and I have signed up to be a contributor! Head on over to check it out! Perhaps this will help me out with #11-13 and #15 on my 101 in 1001, LOL!

Things are still progressing well for Reading Red Letters – I have been researching a bit more to get some material to present on the site, and I’ve been contacted about my design request, so I’m getting pretty excited!

Unfortunately I fly back to school tomorrow. I’d really rather stay home a bit longer – I love spending time with my family, and I always miss them terribly when I have to go back. Still no more word from the dean about my status, so I’m still praying about that! I hope that the new year is going well for everyone so far!
